‘Don’t You Cry- we will conquer’, a benefit concert for cancer cure is being organized on June 6, 2015 from 5 pm onwards at IMC Hall Dimapur.
“The idea of the benefit concert came out of a deep compassion and our heart’s desire to stand in support and solidarity with people battling with cancer”, the organizers shared. Coming from different walks of life, yet bonded by their Christian faith and music, the organizing team stated that the reason behind this initiative is to use music as a tool to stand in faith and solidarity with people, especially music friends who have been affected by the illness, and to raise more awareness about this disease by creating a platform where stories are shared, so that cancer sufferers and their loved ones would know that they are not alone. The concert will have performances by UDX, Tali Angh, Jack Pucho, Imtirenla Sayer and Theja Meru, singing the Blood and Fire hit song, ‘Don’t you cry’ - the theme song for the concert.
Sound and Lights will be provided by Audio Garage and Shiu Lights. The concert will end with a special prayer of healing for people suffering from cancer.
All proceeds from the show will go towards the treatment costs of Lamtsala Sangtam, the vocalist of Purple Fusion and Neiheu Kiso, the mother of guitarist Kevi Kiso. Free will offering will be collected during the concert. Special donor pledge cards will also be available for those who want to give towards this event.
The organizing team comprises of Wabang Longchari, Tali Angh, Hongba Phom, Ringo Odyuo, Moa Longkumer, Nuno Rongmei, Joe Inakhu and Bambi Kevichusa
