Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): The secretary of the Department of North East Region (DoNER), NaveenVerma and secretary of North Eastern Council (NEC), Ram Muivah had a review meeting with various departments at the Secretariat conference hall in Kohima on June 8.
The meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy reviewed the NEC funded projects including the on-going and those projects which have been delayed for two years since the scheduled date of completion.
Secretary DoNER Naveen Verma at the meeting suggested that a branded honey from Nagaland should be out in the market through the Nagaland Honey Mission so as to promote the indigenous produce which is in abundance in the State.
Verma requested the departments to submit the detailed reports to the concerned authority at the stipulated time frame given to them. He also directed and encouraged the department to use the funds efficiently and target to bring sustainable development through the projects in the State. He also stated that the on-going liabilities projects which are not in the guideline will be discontinued.
Head of departments discussed the status of the on-going projects and shared their views, grievances and challenges faced by them to implement and complete the projects at the scheduled date. The meeting also deliberated on the execution of schemes and status in the utilization of funds in various departments.
