Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): The 9th Convergence Fest 2018 organised by the department of Business Administration, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama was successfully held on Sep. 14 and 15th where seven colleges participated. Don Bosco College, Kohima was adjudged the overall champions of the fest.
A press statement from the college informed that the fest, which was held on the theme ‘believe, become’, accomplish was graced by Lezo Putsure of YouthNet as the chief guest. Informing that six colleges from Kohima and one from Dimapur participated in the fest, the press statement informed that all the 11 departments of St. Joseph College also participated in the different events.
The two-day event was mainly organised by the final year students of the dept. of BBA and financed through various sponsors from around the state, apart from donations by well-wishers and alumni (2017 batch) as well. Lhouvi Mezhur Shekoshe was the “silver sponsor” for the Fest; apart from that, various individuals and organisations contributed for the fest as “bronze sponsors”, it informed.
The fest included various events which gave platforms for the students to test their talents and refine their abilities. The students competed in 12 events. Viravoto and Kevilenuo Miachieo were crowned ‘Mr. and Mrs Convergence 2018’ respectively.
Informing that Don Bosco College, Kohima emerged as the overall champion of the fest, the release stated that the champions were awarded with trophy and citations. A special citation for the most disciplined college/department was awarded to the dept. of English, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.
