Domestic violence topped complaints to the Women Helpline 181 and One Stop Centre in Nagaland, according to the Nagaland Economic Survey 2025–26.

KOHIMA — The One Stop Centre and the 181 Women Helpline in Nagaland received a total of 120 effective calls between April and December 2025, including 35 related to domestic violence, two cases of rape and one case of sexual assault, among others.
This was stated in the Nagaland Economic Survey 2025–26 issued by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, which was presented to the House during the eighth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
According to the report, a total of 1,584 calls were received, of which 120 were categorised as effective calls.
The distribution of these calls included 35 cases of domestic violence; three cases seeking support and assistance; 20 cases related to cybercrime, obscene phone calls and obscene text messages; two cases of rape; nine missing person cases; two cases of harassment; one case of stalking; three cases of emotional violence and abuse; two cases of fraud and cheating; one case of sexual assault; four distress cases; and three cases seeking psychological assistance, counselling and guidance.

Additionally, 35 calls were related to information on government schemes, programmes and laws.
The report also stated that 597 Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP) — 293 boys and 304 girls—were received by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
Out of the total cases, 571 (277 boys and 294 girls) were disposed of during the same period.
Meanwhile, 60 cases (55 boys and five girls) of Children in Conflict with Law (CCL) were received by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) between January and December 2025, of which 50 cases (47 boys and three girls) were disposed of.
Districts including Kiphire, Mon, Noklak and Shamator recorded zero CCL cases.
The report further stated that 399 boys and 347 girls were living in Child Care Institutions (CCI) in the state as of December 31, 2025.
