
Wins third position at a nationwide inter-shelter home singing competition

Kohima, Sep. 30 (EMN): Dolensangla from Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH) Kohima won the third position during a nationwide inter-shelter home singing competition in junior category.
The first prize was won by Barsha Adhikari, from Loreto Rainbow Home and second prize was shared by Sanarose from Compassion Children Ministry (Girls Caring Home) Imphal and Monica Lalremkimi Ferrando Children's Home Aizawl.
The event 'Voice of Nakshatra 2.0' is a nation-wide inter-shelter home singing competition for kids which were conducted by BHUMI NGO, one of the India's largest independent youth volunteer non-profit organisation.
The competition was coordinated by 6 chapters out of 14 Chapters of Bhumi - Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune, wherein over 450 children from over 150 shelter homes competed in three categories viz. Junior, Senior and Super Senior.
Also, more than 185 children from 52 shelter homes of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and eight Northeastern states of India - under the Bhumi Kolkata Team took part.
Under the Bhumi Kolkata Team, the judges were Subhadeep Das Chowdhury; Micky Dixit; Sagar Tripathy; Rupam Bharnarhia; Rachit Agarwal; Shriya Rawal Chettri; Mismi Bose; Ritesh G Rao; Labonya Chaudhuri and Meghana Santhosh Rao.
