Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): In a precursor to its golden jubilee celebration scheduled on October 20 and 21, Diphupar Naga Youth Organisation (DNYO) initiated a mass social work on October 14.
A short programme was held at Diphupar council hall led by DNYO president Vekre Puro in the presence of I Imkong Jamir, former minister, and NI Jamir, retired DGP.
The planning committee convenor, Dr. T Lima Jamir, in his welcome address, encouraged all to clean their surroundings. Lanutoshi, DVC chairman, has stressed on the importance of cleaning the village. He appreciated the youth for initiating the work. He insisted on cleanliness not only during jubilee time but at all times. Chief host of the golden jubilee, N Jacob Zhimomi, MLA, has encouraged keeping the surroundings clean. He urged the public to attend the jubilee with clean minds and souls and work towards peace and harmony in the Naga society. He further requested all the jubilee members to invite other organisations in and around Dimapur.
He further encouraged all to keep the surroundings clean even after the jubilee for a healthy lifestyle. He wished the entire Jubilee planning committee success for the upcoming jubilee.
