DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) has appealed to all government employees to be regular in attendance and carry out their assigned duties with sincerity and dedication.
An update from DNSU stated that serving in Dimapur is a privilege for all government employees that entailed a high level of responsibility and accountability.
It stated that DNSU would focus primarily in the three fields namely education, health and development.
To ensure the highest standards of governance, the union has decided to conduct regular surprise inspections in all government offices within and around Dimapur with a special focus on district hospitals, educational institutions and development boards.
“We expect employees to demonstrate their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, setting a positive precedent for others to follow. In particular, we will be scrutinising the district hospitals to ensure quality healthcare services, educational institutions to eradicate proxy teaching and ensure quality education and development boards to promote transparency and accountability in development projects,” the union said.
While affirming its commitment to promoting excellence in governance and education, it has sought full cooperation from all stakeholders and warned that any defaulters would face strict legal action.
It called upon everyone to strive towards establishing a culture of accountability, transparency and excellence in public service. It further expressed believe that the collective efforts would lead to a more efficient, effective and responsive governance system, ultimately benefiting the citizens of Dimapur.
