Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): The monthly of the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for January was held on Mon. in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner of Dimapur.
According to DPRO updates on Mon., Deputy Commissioner Sushil Kumar Patel, who presided over the meeting, welcomed the members and reminded them to be regular in attending the DPDB meetings. He was quoted as having stated that pertinent issues in connection with Dimapur district are discussed during such meetings.
The officer has directed the heads of departments to be ‘vigilant’ as the general elections are to be conducted soon. He said that the responsibility of informing subordinate officers with regard to election issues were on the heads of departments.
Work for the forthcoming Republic Day celebrations was assigned to various departments during the event.
Also the Mangkolemba Sub-Divisional Planning and Developmental Board (SDPDB) held its monthly meeting on Jan. 6 in the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner under the chairmanship of EAC Mangkolemba Kedale Sebu.
With regard to the application submitted by VEC Akumen for the upgradation of Government Primary School, the board decided to discuss the matter in the next SDPDP meeting in presence of SDEO Mangkolemba.
During the meeting, the work distribution for the ensuing Republic Day celebration was also allocated to respective department. The chairman also sought cooperation from all the members for successful celebration of the Republic Day.
