Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): DMI St. Joseph’s Global School, Dimapur, has organised its 1st annual day celebrations on March 7 on the theme “Stepping towards the future.”
Chief guest and District Education Officer, Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir, in her speech, stated that only hard work and fear of God in everything will lead to success in life. She added that there is no short-cut to success.
Also stating that all successes are not permanent and all failures not final, she said only those who try to give more efforts and try to do better will eventually become perfection and there will come a time to celebrate their success. She expressed hope that the school would become centre of excellence in learning within a period of 5-6 years and requested the parents to join hands together with the teachers.
Fr. Johnson, correspondent of Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, graced the occasion as the special guest. The other dignitaries present were Sr. Mary Jehani, secretary of DFT Schools, Dr. Gnanadurai, Vice Chancellor of St. Joseph University, Fr. Charles, director association of Nagaland.
The annual prize distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded certificates and prizes for the academic as well as co-curricular excellence.
The school principal presented the annual report. The programme culminated with the singing of Nation Anthem.
