Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): Training of Trainers (ToTs) for District Mental Health Programme (DMPH) staff on life skill education, stress management and suicidal prevention was held July 19 and 20 at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur organised by National Mental Health Programme, Nagaland.
Resource person, Dr. Devvarta Kumar; additional professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHAS, Bangalore oriented the DMHP staff on how to conduct an effective workshop and sensitisation programme in the domain of life skills education, stress management and sensitization programme for Suicide Prevention.
The two sessions of the training comprised of various group activities and post-session assessments.
Earlier, Dr. Khriezotuo Paphino, SPO-NHMP welcomed the participants and gave brief introduction of the programme. He said the programme was first of its kind in the State and encouraged the participants to be sincere and upscale their knowledge for improvement of the programme. The training of trainers for DMHP staff included, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychiatric nurses and psychiatric social workers from various districts of the State.
