[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he drive started by the Dimapur Municipal Council under the leadership of Mr. H. Atokhe Aye, the Administrative Officer has led us to believe that if you have the resolve to carry out some noble work, the resources will never be a hindrance to achieve them. The road repairing and the drainage cleanings in and around Dimapur town have come as a great relief to the people of our town.The state of Nagaland has been bereft of development for over a decade now and whatever small improvements are carried out has been appreciated as these sort of activities has become rare view for the public. The cleaning and repairing of the drainage system in the MP road, a major thoroughfare of the most important commercial town needs to be landed, more so with the monsoon round the corner. The DMC with its meager resources is doing a Yeoman Service for the people of the town. However, it needs to be mentioned here that in the past also the DMC was functional but it was more interested in collection of revenues and not any development. It is the leadership of the present Administrative Officer that the civic body is sparing some thoughts for the welfare of the public and it is the bounden duty of the Govt. of the day to encourage efficient officers to carry out their duties without putting spanners in their line of duty. In this regard no one should have any complaints as the ultimate beneficiaries are the public.
