Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): The Dimapur Municipal Council has on Wednesday informed the citizens of its municipality that due to the outbreak of dengue in and around Dimapur, that a mass community cleanliness drive will be conducted on Oct. 28.
" In view of the serious outbreak of dengue in and around the Dimapur Municipal area, it is hereby informed to all the citizens under Dimapur Municipality that on 28th Oct 2017 starting from 08:00 AM onwards there will be a mass social work for removal of stagnant water in respective households," stated the Administrator Moa Sangtam of DMC.
He also informed all the residents of the municipality to completely drain out stagnant water within their surroundings especially fr and any collected water utensils, flowerpots and drains.
The chaimen and the GBs of the were also informed to monitor the social work and authorised them to impose a fine of Rs. 100 if any household is found with " stagnant water within their compound".
