Dimapur, August 19 (EMN): Administrator of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Moa Sangtam in an order issued on Saturday mentioned that it has observed that some residents under Dimapur Municipality are in the habit of throwing branches of trees and other non-household waste in the public dustbins which cause inconvenience to the residents of the area and difficulties in collection and disposing off the same. Therefore, except for household waste, throwing of any such waste in the public dustbins is strictly prohibited.
Having been observed that some residents are in the habit of disposing garbage in the drainage, which leads to drainage clogging and results in flood during heavy rainfall, the administrator informed that disposing of garbage in drainages is strictly prohibited henceforth.
Further, all colony councils and GBs under Dimapur Municipality are informed to keep strict vigilant on such activities and report to the DMC in case of any defaulters. This order has been issued for strict compliance.
