Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton have extended Diwali greetings.
In a message issued on Saturday, the governor stated that Diwali represents the victory of light over darkness. He hoped that it will inspire all to move towards peace, progress, development and brotherhood; and also appealed for a pollution-free Diwali. Rio took to Twitter: “Wishing everyone celebrating a happy Diwali. May the festival of lights bring renewed hope; brighten up your lives and homes.”
Patton, in a statement, requested “each and everyone to uphold the true spirit of Diwali and defeat all the negativities in our lives to bring about social harmony. I along with the state BJP legislators extend a joyous and happy Diwali.”
