KOHIMA — Through the collaborative efforts of local organisers and the artistes community, ‘The Green Room Project – I’ successfully delivered an unforgettable experience featuring notable bands from Nagaland at Kohima Ridge Eco Park on Sunday.
With Divine Connection as the headliner, the musical event also featured Flying Arcades from Kohima and Pink Eye from Dimapur.
Noune Khamo, a representative of The Green Room Project, noted, that the project is a collaborative effort and it comes from a place authenticity even as artistes come together to address the need of the artistic scene in Nagaland particularly in the music scene.
The Green Room project aims to create a safe space for new and upcoming musical artistes to partner with seasoned artistes, enabling them to embark on a journey of mentorship and community support.
Captivating the energetic crowd, headliner for the evening, Divine Connection performed few of their originals and covers.
Formed on September 30, 2004, Divine Connection is a Christian Rock band from Kohima, Nagaland. The band stands for promoting a positive lifestyle, believing that young people can enjoy music and life without the influences of drugs, alcohol, violence, or immorality.
Flying Arcades, a highly energetic three-piece rock band from Kohima, fueled the night’s spirit with four originals and three cover songs.
“It was surreal. It felt like a dream, being out there and seeing all those people coming out tonight. We want to thank all of them for coming”, Vetho Ringa, guitarist and vocal of the band, shared after their performance.
Saying that performing on such a platform is something new to them, he maintained its important opportunities and platforms keep coming because there are a lot of people that are looking for opportunities like that.
Pink Eye, a six-member Pop/Rock band from Dimapur was formed in early 2023. Rooted in passion and expressive songwriting, the band creates music that feels honest, intense, and alive.

Right after their performance, the band's vocalist Guraans Thapa shared that it was a good show with a lot of audience.
“If you want to start a band, just start now because it's fun", she conveyed in her message to the people.
Hinting on an upcoming project of the band, she said they might have a new EP project by June this year.
