Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): A training programme for drivers in the ways of observing protocol, having ‘manners’ and in maintaining vehicles in the establishment of the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur was conducted on September 18 in the DC’s conference hall.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates on Thursday about the programme.
The training started with DC Kevekha Zehol briefing the gathering about the purpose of conducting the training, the IPR stated.
The drivers were taught on the topics of basic duties of drivers in vehicle ‘maintenance, manners and etiquette,’ the IPR informed. Officials there highlighted the importance of discipline, necessary skills, safety, ‘sympathy for cars,’ right attitude, respect for fellow drivers, traffic rules, avoiding mobile phones while driving, and maintaining confidentiality at professional levels, the updates informed.
Further, they were given a discourse about traffic laws and rules, the IPR stated.
