Dimapur,Aug. 7 (EMN): The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) of Peren, Mokokchung, and Pughoboto conducted the board meeting for the month of August.
Mokokchung: The Mokokchung DPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of its vice chairman, Sachin Jaiswal on Aug. in the ADC conference hall in Mokokchung.
An update from DPRO stated that the vice chairman who is also the deputy commissioner of the district thanked all the departments, NGOs and all agencies involved on the grand success of Tsungremmong Mini Hornbill Festival held in the district from Aug. 1-3.
SDO (C), M Chaidanya Prasa, briefed the house in detail regarding parking of government funds with Nagaland Rural Bank. He requested all the departments to give priority to Rural banks whenever parking of funds regarding any new schemes and programmes comes up in future.
ADC Tuli Imsongmeren briefed the house on the present Nagaland-Assam problem which flared up due to setting up of a border outpost by Assam in the disputed area Nagaland-Assam border. He also suggested and proposed the house to ask government for creation of an Independent Border Magistrate at Tuli.
The DC also supplemented on the border issue saying that it is serious not only at Tuli but also in Mariani, Tsurangkong and Longchem block. He requested all the members to be more vigilant and also educate the villages in the border area not to flare up issue unnecessarily and create problematic situation but to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the border area.
The meeting included a power point presentation from Childline Mokokchung.
Peren: The monthly meeting of the Peren DPDB was held on Aug. 6 in the conference hall of deputy commissioner in Peren, presided over by advisor to Irrigation & Flood Control department, Namri Nchang.
According to an update from DPRO, the vice chairman of DPDB Peren, S Tainiu welcomed the newly posted officer ADC Jalukie Tino Chang.
The board reviewed the previous meeting minute regarding establishment of foundation centre for differently abled persons at Jalukie and was approved and recommended.
The proposal for up gradation of Ikiesingram GMS to GHS and Ramzie primary school to elementary was differed to the next DPDB meeting, it informed.
The board also stated to have approved the formation of officers club at Peren, considering the need of the officers posted in the district to have a common platform and to promote coordination and mutual understanding in the district. The club will be formed under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner.
The board also discussed and reviewed to adhere to the standing order for banning of logging, hunting and fishing within the District. The department of Tourism highlighted their departmental activities through power point presentation.
The Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board Pughoboto meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDPDB and MLA, Y. Vikheho Swu at the DB court hall in Pughoboto on Aug. 7.
ADC Pughoboto, Phuleshe K Yepthomi reviewed the meeting minutes on measles-rubella vaccination campaign. In his address, he urged officers to be in station to give assistance to the public.
MO Dr. Alvis A Chikheh while giving power point presentation said in the 24 village covered by nine sub-centres, three PHC and one CHC. Responding to the medical official, MLA requested him to create "Doctor Help Line" in Pughoboto sub-division and also directed the medical officials to be in station. After deliberating the difficulties of the patient in the division, the house decided to write a letter to the concerned department to immediately post the doctors for the replacement when transferred from their posting place. Swu also requested the Medical department to give another power point presentation in the next meeting.
Regarding the roads in different localities affected by the flood, funds for fuel will be provided, said MLA. He added that normal allocation of fund should reach the division to maintain the roads. He urged the Administration and the R&B department Pughoboto to submit the landslide area with photos to the engineer- in-chief and also workout the estimates and send letter to the NSDMA for their requirements through the DC Zuheboto for disaster management, as the Union MoS for Home, Kiren Rejiju has assured during his visit recently.
The board decided and agreed to request the DPDB Zunheboto to relieve or exempt from the ‘Common Pool’ fund so as to develop Pughoboto division like other sub-divisions. The board also approved the LADP 2018-19.
The board also discussed about the drainage in town, headmaster and maths teacher in GHS, health centers in Pughoboto and water source. SDPDB Chairman and his team Kaniho Swu also reviewed all LADP project.
