Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): The district administrations across Nagaland continue to fine-tune arrangements for the state-wide cleanliness drive across the state to be conducted on May 4.
Government establishments issued various notices on Thursday concerning the work.
The government’s publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates about the various notices.
Chief Secretary Temjen Toy was stated to have issued a circular giving instruction concerning the work. The task of clearing the Secretariat’s office compound has been assigned to sweepers, ‘Malis,’ and Chowkidars, the IPR stated.
The officers and staff will join the work in their respective colony, the updates stated.
Similarly, all the directorates have been directed to assign “clearing of office compounds to specific list of staff and rest to participate in colony social works considering the priority requirements,” the IPR stated.
Also, Commissioner-secretary Rovilatuo Mor was also stated to have issued instructions for the May 4 event covering all urban and rural areas “for strengthening awareness and preparedness against any vulnerable disasters during forthcoming monsoon.”
All out efforts should be made by one and all in taking preventive measures against man-made disasters since "a stitch in time saves nine," the IPR explained.
Control room to be set up
A control room will be set up at the Kohima deputy commissioner's office to coordinate with different departments on the day of the work, the IPR informed. One may contact the phone numbers 9436010443 and 7005694685 for any queries and information, the updates stated.
Peren
Elsewhere in Peren district, Deputy Commissioner Sarita Yadav has informed all heads of offices to inform their respective staffers to bring the necessary equipments for the work. The departments are to provide
efreshments for their staffers during the work, the IPR stated.
Work assignments for Peren establishments and the areas they have been assigned to clean:
• DC office junction, Zero point junction: District administration, DAO (Agriculture), PWD (R&B).
• Zero point junction-Fire Brigade junction: Land Resource, Cooperation (ACRCS), Employment.
• Fire Brigade junction-local ground junction: Industries, CMO (Medical), Fire Service, Horticulture.
• Local ground junction; Mongleu Bridge: Judicial, Sericulture, IPR, CVO, Irrigation, DEO (Evaluation).
• Mongleu Bridge, Peren Govt. College junction: DFOP (Forest), DFO (Fishery), Education, ALC (Labour), and Peren Government College.
• Peren Government College junction; sinking zone: DRDA, PHED, Sports, NST, DSO (statistics), Planning, Art& Culture, Social Welfare, and DSCO (Soil).
