Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The District Election Officer (DEO) of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel directed all the polling personnel to attend the second phase training scheduled to be held on May 19 at the Dimapur Government College. Department of Information and Public Relations informed on Thursday.
DEO informed that the training will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for Presiding Officers and first polling officers, while for the polling personnel including grade IV staffs will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the same day.
Further, Patel stated that failure to attend the training shall be viewed ‘seriously and strict action’ shall be initiated as per the Representation of the People’s Act of 1950 and the Conduct of Election Rules of 1961.
Wokha: The District Election Officer of Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has informed that the second round of training for polling personnel has been fixed on May 21 and 22nd at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Wokha at 10:00 am. Update from Department of Information and Public Relations informed on Thursday.
All polling personnel have been informed to attend the training. Further, DEO directed that disciplinary actions shall be initiated against the absentees as per the relevant section of law.
The training of Presiding Officers and Polling-I will be held on May 21, while Polling-II, and III will be held on May 22. The third round of training for polling personnel has been fixed on May 25 at the GHSS of Wokha from 10:00 am onwards, the update informed.
Mon: The Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K has directed that the second phase of training for polling personnel in Mon district has been scheduled on May 18 for the Presiding Officers and first Polling Officers. While second, third and fourth Polling Officers will be held on May 19 at 10:00 am at the Mon Town Council Building.
Further, it was informed that the third phase of training will be conducted on May 24 and 25th at 10:00 am at Mon Town Council Building.
Other training rounds update included- the second round of training for Sector Magistrate and Webcasting Operators has been scheduled on May 23 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm respectively at the Deputy Commisoner’s (DC) Conference Hall in Mon. The first and second rounds of training for Micro Observer will be held on May 18 and 24th at 11:00 am at the DC’s conference hall in Mon. Stringent action will be initiated against absentees including filing of a First Information Report under relevant sections of election law, the update informed.
