Longleng district successfully conducted the District Red Run 2026 to raise awareness of HIV and STIs.

DIMAPUR — The District Red Run 2026 was organised in the Longleng district under the aegis of the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) as part of a statewide campaign to promote awareness of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) on Monday.
According to an update, prior to the commencement of the run, District AIDS Control Officer of Longleng Dr. Temsusashi addressed the participants and delivered an awareness talk on HIV & AIDS and STIs.
He spoke on the importance of prevention, early testing, and eliminating stigma and discrimination and encouraged young people to adopt safe and responsible health practices. He also noted that every individual’s effort contributes towards building an HIV-free society.
The event saw participation from eligible young men and women aged 17 to 25 years. The run was themed "Every step counts against HIV and STIs".

In the male category, Katlong Phom secured the first place, followed by A Phekmei Phom in second place and N Tenkom Phom in third place.
In the female category, C Lingoi bagged the first place, while Wanyong D Phom and Oyau Phom secured the second and third places, respectively.
