Dimapur April 12 (EMN): The monthly meeting of the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) of various districts and divisions was conducted for the month of April.
In Phek the district board’s meeting for the month of April was conducted on April 10 in the DPDB’s conference hall. A press release informing about the meeting was received from the DIPR on Thursday.
The press release informed that the meeting was presided over by the vice chairman of DPDB, Shanavas C. The press note stated that Shanavas informed about the appointment of Neiba Kronu, the member of the legislative assembly for 16th assembly constituency, Pfutsero, as the chairman of Phek DPDB.
The press release explained that Shanavas talked about preparing for the monsoon. To tackle problems that the monsoon might bring, he invited five departmental officers namely the executive engineer of the PWD, R&B; executive engineer for Power; executive engineer for PHED; DSCO; and the executive engineer for Irrigation & Flood Control department. They are to submit their ‘views’ regarding measures to be taken during the monsoon.
The press release informed that the next meeting of the DPDB would be conducted on May 10. The PHED and Power department have been entrusted to present a report of their respective department’s activities.
Zunheboto DPDB
The monthly meeting of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) in Zunheboto for the month of April had been conducted on April 12 at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall in Zunheboto.
A press release from the DIPR on Thursday informed that the meeting was presided over by the additional deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Vekhoyi Chakhesang.
According to the press release, the house reviewed the minutes of the previous meetings during the business hour. The Sub-Divisional Officer Ajit Ranjan, informed the members about the action plan and projects to be taken up in the district on the protection of girl child, the updates from the IPR stated.
Tseminyu SDPDB
The Tseminyu Sub-Divisional Planning Development Board (SDPDB) conducted a meeting at DBs customary court on April 10 in Tseminyu. Information was received through a press release from the DIPR on Thursday.
According to the press release, the chairman of SDPDB, R Khing, presided over the meeting.
The senior medical officer of community health centre (CHC) Tseminyu, Dr Tinenlo James, spoke on the shortage of doctors in the hospital which needs to be addressed. Khing informed the house that he will initiate the matter with the concerned department for overall improvement of the CHC Tseminyu.
The activities of public distribution system by the department of Food and Civil Supplies Tseminyu were highlighted by its inspector, Sashilemla Pongen. Khing asked the concern department to streamline the distribution of kerosene oil.
Sub-Divisional Education Officer Tseminyu, Ramdi Thou, highlighted on the management system of the mid-day meal for the School children.
Vice Chairman SDPDB Tseminyu Theodore reminded the members regarding adoption of village in the Sub-Division to be made by the concerned SDPDB. The matter was discussed and accordingly Ramishinyu Village was adopted for the year 2018.
The meeting also discussed the celebration of Tseminyu Sub-Division completing its 50th year in 2018.
