
Jacob Zhimomi presiding over the monthly DPDB meeting in
Niuland town on Friday.
- DIMAPUR — District Planning and Development Board (DPDB)
of Niuland, Tseminyu and Longleng districts have reviewed development projects
and also approved new initiatives.
- The Niuland DPDB meeting was held at the deputy
commissioner's office conference hall on Friday under the chairmanship of Jacob
Zhimomi, minister for PHED and Cooperation.
- The house reviewed minutes of the previous session and
deliberated on the construction of office building of Land Resources
department. Key decisions included approval for constructing a multipurpose
indoor hall in Kuhuboto town, registration of INNOLI Society in S Vihuto
village and the publication of Niuland Pulse, a magazine detailing
district-specific agricultural activities, crops and fruits. The magazine aims
to serve as a reference guide for farmers to enhance production and capitalise
on the district’s agricultural potential.
- Zhimomi has called for a comprehensive assessment of Niuland
local ground for future expansion, wherein he has entrusted the district sports
officer to submit a detailed report in the next meeting.
- Stressing the importance of effective implementation of the
Inner Line Permit, the chairman urged all district officers to cooperate for
the district’s progress and development.
- Tseminyu DPDB also held its monthly meeting on February 13
at the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of MLA and chairman of DPDB,
Jwenga Seb.
- The house reviewed of the last meeting minutes and discussed
on requisition of multi-task staff (MTS) at district Sericulture office as well
as at Aghonshu tourism camp of Tourism department and at DC’s office, Tseminyu.
- The chairman urged the Power department to come out with the
proposal for upgrading the activities of the department in the district, while
he also encouraged the Veterinary department to play proactive role in
supplying and providing items according to number of village population.
