DPDB meetings held across Nagaland districts discussed key local issues, approved development proposals, and reviewed ongoing projects.

DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meetings for the month of June were held across various districts of Nagaland on Wednesday, with several key development issues discussed and proposals forwarded for government approval.
Mon: The Mon DPDB meeting for the month was held at the DC conference hall, with Wennyei Konyak, Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Vice Chairman of the DPDB Mon, presiding over the meeting.
According to a DIPR report, also present were DPDB Chairman MLA Mankhao Konyak; Advisor for Treasuries and Accounts and Art and Culture, Konngam Konyak; and MLA and SDPB Chairman Tobu Naiba Konyak.
The house discussed the agenda of upgrading Good Samaritan School, Phomching, and forwarded it to the higher authority.

LADP 2025-26, including the Iconic Project, was approved. The police outpost at Mopong and the construction of the road from Forest Colony to the police reserve were discussed and forwarded to the higher authorities for approval.
The members discussed the proposal for the review and issue of a site permit for Government Primary School (GPS) Shamnyu Ward, Mon town, for which the district administration was asked to verify the site and consult with the land donor.
A PowerPoint presentation on the District Integrated Strategy for HIV/AIDS (DISHA) was presented by the CMO office. SDO Mon, Ajit Kumar, gave a brief overview of the Mon Smart Hub and requested all departments to participate in the Smart Hub Portal for the benefit of all.
President of the Konyak Students’ Union, Temwang Konyak, highlighted problems such as shortages of fire stations, police stations, and electricity in the district.
During the meeting, meritorious students of the HSLC and HSSLC from Mon district were felicitated and awarded certificates and cash.
Kiphire: The Kiphire DPDB meeting and launching programme of the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJGUA) was held under the chairmanship of Temsuwati Longkumer, DC and Vice Chairman of the DPDB, at the DC conference hall.
The board reviewed the minutes of the last meeting, followed by a discussion of the day’s agendas.
Construction of the GB Customary Court at Kiphire and Tribal Hall at Sangphure village, along with the registration of the society for the Lihpihna Foundation, were discussed and forwarded to the government for final approval and necessary action.
Longleng: The Longleng DPDB meeting was held at the DPDB Hall, DC office, under the chairmanship of W Manpai Phom, DC and Vice Chairman of the DPDB Longleng.
After a lengthy discussion, the board recommended and approved the following agendas: grant-in-aid to Lempong Higher Secondary School, Longleng, and Chingtok Public School, Chingtok; upgrading government middle school (GMS) Block Shamkang Ward, Longleng, to government high school (GHS); and registration of Bauting Foundation Society at Alok Ward, Tamlu.
Tseminyu: The monthly DPDB meeting of Tseminyu was held at the DC conference hall under the chairmanship of Jwenga Seb, MLA and Chairman of the DPDB Tseminyu.
The agenda deliberated during the meeting was the identification of land for a helipad in Tseminyu. The board entrusted SDO (Civil) Tsidi Hairi to identify the landowner and submit the report to the board.
The house also discussed the District Award for distinguished public service to government employees under Tseminyu district. The change of nomenclature of Zisunyu village to T Zisunyu village and the recognition of Rengmariver village were recommended and forwarded to the higher authority for final approval.
The establishment of an employment exchange office in the district was approved and forwarded to the concerned authorities.
Registration of the new society ‘Handicapped Union Tseminyu’ was deferred to be discussed in the next meeting.
Dimapur: Meanwhile, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the DPDB Dimapur has announced that the DPDB meeting scheduled for June has been postponed.
DC and Vice Chairman Dr. Tinojongshi Chang stated that the meeting will be deferred until further notice.
