District officials inspect fuel depots in Wokha

Updates from the DIPR on Wednesday informed that the team comprised members of the district administration, police, Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection and the DPRO. The authorities inspected the petrol outlets to check fuel adulteration, besides facilities for consumers such as bathrooms, toilets, clean drinking water and free air-refilling etc. The officers are said to have checked the quality of fuel, and its density and temperature, besides taking filter-paper tests. “Both the petrol pumps were found to be within the permissible limit on fuel quality and quantity,” the DIPR report stated. During the inspection, the district control task force informed the proprietors of the businesses to follow guidelines on maintenance and to provide basic amenities to consumers. The force will be conducting such exercises on regularly, the updates stated. Members of the public are informed to ensure that zero reading is indicated before fuel refilling is done.
