Participants and officials at the District Level Science Quiz Competition 2025 organised under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan at EBRC Hall, Meluri, on Tuesday.


DIMAPUR — The Office of the Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO), Meluri, organised a District Level Science Quiz Competition 2025 under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) at EBRC Hall, Meluri, on Tuesday.


According to an update, eight government schools from across the Meluri district participated in the event.


The guest speaker, Dr. Ngailong L Phom, dental surgeon and medical officer (MO) at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Meluri, in his speech, shared with the gathering that the secret of success lies in first setting a goal in life and pursuing it with hard work, determination, and discipline while placing God first.


He reminded the students that wherever one goes, competition will always be present, and hence one must be prepared, believe in their potential, and never be afraid of failure. He further encouraged them to never stop learning and to always give their best in life for future endeavours.

The quiz featured multiple rounds — subject-specific, rapid fire, buzzer, visual, and double trouble — conducted by the quiz master, Thomas Pichurii. After a contest, the following students emerged as winners:


First: Jinley Pechungri, Class 7, Government High School, Sutsü.


Second: Mzantsa, Class 7, Government High School, Phokhungri.


Third: Makolo Pfithu, Class 8, Government High School, Phoyisha.


All winners were awarded cash prizes along with certificates of merit, while all participants received certificates of participation.
