Dimapur, Sep. 28 (EMN): An awareness campaign on 'Right to Education’ (RTE) was conducted at Grace School in Wokha on September 28 2020 by Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA). According to an update, Andrew Tsanglao, administrator of Grace School spoke on the RTE. Legal pamphlets were also distributed to faculties and students, it said.

On September 26, Phek DLSA attended a one-day seminar organised by Thenyizumi Women Society at Thenyizu village under Phek district. Project assistant Phek DLSA Keneinuo Swuro made a presentation on the Domestic Violence Act 2005 and highlighted the rights of aggrieved person(s) and remedies under the Act, it read.

Sekhotso Rokha, panel lawyer PDLSA shared the causes/ effects, prevention and protection under Immoral Traffic (prevention) Act 1986, which was followed by an interactive session.

Kohima DLSA on September 25 sensitised the children of Bright Morning Star Children Home, Kohima with different legal topics relating to children during a one-day awareness seminar organised by the children’s home.

Apila Sangtam and Vimeno Nakhro, panel lawyers Kohima DLSA participated on behalf of KDLSA as the resource persons. Topics such as children and law, RTE (Right to Education) Act, 2009 were sensitised to the children, it informed.
