Kiphire, March 8: Kiphire based NGO, Charitable Trust Brothers, formed in the year 2011, to help the poor and needy, have handed over its poor patients’ fund, to the district Hospital Kiphire, as a part of their year activity. The brothers also gave some eatable items to the nurses of the hospital in commemoration of World International Day.
It may be mentioned that CTBs, since its inception has been working for the poor and needy in the district. The CTBs started the poor patients’ fund last year by handing over some cash and the hospital authority manages the fund basing on the criteria submitted by the CTBs.This year, the state Governor of the state, P.B Acharya, also donated an amount of Rs. 10000/- to the fund and is sponsoring five girl students under “ Bedi bachao Bedi badao” scheme through CTBs.
Some of the activities of CTBs included helping the victims of natural calamities, help the poor patients for treatment, sponsor the poor students for their studies, helping the poor and needy sections of the society during major festive seasons with cash and goods etc. Their only source of income is a freewill donation from the well wishers.
