The District Health Society of Phek conducts an RCH outreach camp at Porba village to provide healthcare services.

DIMAPUR — The District Health Society, Phek, conducted a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) outreach camp at Porba village on September 30.
According to an update, the camp was led by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Phek, Dr. Chitale Hiese, and District Programme Officer (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition) Dr. Khriekuolie Liezietsu, along with health staff, doctors, and nurses from the district hospital (DH) and Community Health Centre (CHC) Pfutsero.
The camp aimed to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to mothers and children, particularly those facing challenges in accessing regular health facilities.
During the camp, various maternal and child health services were provided. Altogether, 43 paediatric cases and 71 gynaecological cases were treated. A total of 11 antenatal care (ANC) cases were examined, two ANC cases were identified as high-risk pregnancies, and seven beneficiaries availed family planning services. Health talks on ANC, postnatal care, and family planning were also conducted.
Other services provided during the camp included 91 dental and oral health consultations, 43 ear, nose, and throat (ENT) consultations, 50 general medicine cases, 45 physiotherapy sessions, and 92 eye examinations, with free spectacles provided. Ultrasound services, laboratory tests, X-rays, and free medicines were also made available to patients.
The medical team comprised Dr. Shevo Hiese, biochemist; Dr. Pangertemsu, Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Dr. Kedoneilhou, paediatrician; Dr. Weto Lomi, radiologist; Dr. Tewekhro; Dr. Medozhanuo Solo, ENT; Dr. Pfukhrolo Koza, senior dentist; Dr. Mewe-u, dentist; and Dr. Neikonuo, dentist. They were assisted by a physiotherapist, an ophthalmic assistant, nurses, an X-ray technician, a laboratory technician, counsellors, SWs, and District Programme Management Unit staff.
