Dimapur, March 21 (EMN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) expressed gratitude to all stake holders who rendered tireless commitment during the search operation on the night of March 18 at Dzukou Valley. The authority stated that it was due to the selfless and dedicated personnel that the stranded tourist trekkers had been brought back home safely.
The press release from NSDMA also informed all the tourist trekkers to remember getting the help of local guide while trekking in the Naga Hill terrains. The release stated that ‘this will enable trekkers in the right direction safely’. Also the authority had asked the trekkers to take along ‘life safety kits’ with them.
The press release further informed trekkers to call the NSDMA toll free helpline number 1070 in case of any emergency for immediate relief.
