Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): State disaster management authority has rescued four tourists from Dzükou on June 7, who were stranded in the valley following inclement weather.
The tourists were rescued by personnel of the state disaster management authority on having received reports of tourists being stranded in the valley following inclement weather.
On receiving the information, the Kohima DDMA swung into action and rescued the tourists. The tourists were rescued by the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) team comprising of an eight personnel.
Meanwhile, NSDMA has cautioned visitors or tourists to take necessary precautions while visiting the Dzükou valley during the monsoon. Trekkers were advised to pay heed to weather reports or take local guides and plan their trek accordingly.
