Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C, has reminded all employees serving in establishments/schools under the department of School Education that no employee can leave their headquarter station without obtaining leave permission from the competent authority.
He informed all district education officers, sr. sub divisional education officers, sub divisional education officers and heads of all government schools have been cautioned against violation of regulations and appropriate disciplinary action including suspension would be initiated against the erring officials.
Further, heads of all government schools have been directed to upload ‘daily reports’ at the school monitoring portal including teacher’s attendance regularly within the stipulated time limit.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of School Education has further notified that the phase I broadcast of video and audio lessons for students of classes I to 4 through Doordarshan, Kohima; All India Radio, Kohima; Youtube Channel (DoSE Nagaland) and Facebook (School Education, Nagaland) will commence from July 19.
The department has issued the following directives to be followed by all concerned.
1. Heads of all schools (both govt. and private) should sensitise parents of students studying in their school about the various modes of broadcast made viz., Doordarshan, Youtube, Facebook and All India Radio so that they could access the broadcast as per their convenience.
2. Heads of govt. schools should effectively utilise all kinds of resources available at schools to ensure that the benefits of the broadcast reach all sections of the society. Heads of govt. schools of a particular area/region should coordinate and share resources among their schools.
3. All DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs in coordination with the district administration, school authorities, village education committees, NGOs, students unions, church bodies and well-wishers should make arrangements for making best use of community resources for the benefit of students who do not have access to television/ computer/ smartphone/radio at home.
4. Heads of govt. schools should ensure that services of teachers are utilised to supplement the tele/radio online Education programme. Data of students accessing various modes of the broadcast should be maintained and furnished as and when asked for.
5. Broadcasts for students of Classes 5 to 12 will commence shortly. Till such time, teachers should advise students to make use of the video lessons broadcast in 2020 which are available at the department’s Youtube channel and Facebook page.
