DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Industries and Commerce has invited applications from indigenous candidates of Nagaland to undergo a two-year Diploma Course in Handloom and Textile Technology, commencing in July 2024, at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, located in Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati.
In an update, applicants must be a maximum of 24 years old as of July 1, 2024, and up to 26 years old for ST/SC candidates. They should have a minimum qualification of HSSLC/SSLC or an equivalent examination passed in a single sitting, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, or a 10th pass with a two-year ITI, or a 10+2 with a two-year ITI as a subject, to be considered for direct admission into the second year (third semester) through lateral entry.
Detailed information and prescribed application forms can be obtained from the office of the Directorate of Industries and Commerce (Dev. branch, first floor) in Kohima, during office hours. The last date for submitting the form is on or before June 15, and no separate calling letter will be issued.
