DIMAPUR — Nagaland government has notified the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) as the nodal department for implementation of the execution framework for development and promotion of live entertainment economy in the state.
The notification aligns Nagaland with the national agenda outlined in the white paper ‘India’s live events economy: A strategic growth imperative,’ a DIPR report stated.
With the notification, the DIPR has been entrusted with coordinating the state’s efforts to strengthen and streamline the live entertainment and events sector.
This includes facilitating the development of a supportive ecosystem for promoters, creators, event managers and cultural stakeholders engaged in live events across Nagaland.
A key mandate under the notification is the integration of state-level event permissions into the proposed single window clearance system on the India Cine Hub portal, ensuring faster, transparent and efficient facilitation for organisers.

“It further marks a significant step toward positioning Nagaland as an emerging destination for high-quality cultural, entertainment and live events while also empowering local talent and strengthening the state’s creative economy,” the report stated.
