The monolith stone was unveiled by Thenucho, former Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, as the chief guest. With the vision to give a place to the poor downtrodden section of the society to call home, a united Naga village – Diphupar ‘B’ village was established by the villagers of Diphupar under the leadership of late Vesayi Rosetso along with LP Therie, the present Head GB and various Naga tribal leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Thenucho appreciated the village council of the village, leaders and people of Diphupar ‘B’ for naming late Vesayi as the founder of the village stating that the wise and exemplary decision will inspire many generations to come. Having known late Vesayi during his school days, Thenucho described the founder of the village as a man of courage, determination and self dedicated for public causes. Thenucho recalled how Diphupar ‘B’ was necessitated to be a government recognised village in 1992 when he was the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly and late Khekiho Zhimomi was MLA representing Ghaspani-I assembly constituency under the leadership of late Vamuzo, the then chief minister of Nagaland. He said there are excellent virtues and customs in Naga society, which the villagers should explore and make them our ideals for development and peaceful co-existence of the people. He encouraged villagers to practice the good cultural values of our ancestors for building a strong community and also to share them with others. ‘Let us inculcate the spirit of sharing and unity to become role models to encounter the forces of division and groupism which are destroying our society today,’ he added. After the unveiling of monolith by the chief guest, a one minute silence in honour of late Vesayi Rosetso was observed. Kahuto N Chishi, chairman of Diphupar ‘B’ village council; K Chuba Jamir, former chairman; village council of Diphupar village, Vekhosayi Nyekha; president of Western Chakhesang Hoho, Rev. VK Nuh; and family member of late Vesayi Rosetso delivered short speeches on the occasion. Keve Nuh, vice chairman CCD ‘B,’ chaired the function, while Rev. L Lanu Jamir, Pastor of Ao BCD ‘B’ said the invocation prayer, Vesazo Khusoh, chairman CCD ‘B’ proposed the vote of thanks and Rev. Dr. P Dozo pronounced the benediction.
