Dimasa community urged to preserve culture, tradition

Area Manager FCI Nagaland, Bankim Phonglo, who graced the occasion as chief guest, urged the DHH members to have self confident and pursue determinedly on the objectives for social uplift. Pointing out the rich in culture and tradition of Dimasa community, he said the rich and colourful attires are the examples of intellectual knowledge of the Dimasas, which needs to be conserved.He also suggested to the members to identify the talented youth of the community in different field and assist them in pursuing their career by contributing individually or groups in the form of scholarship. He further assured to help the society in future. Speeches were also delivered by Jiten Maibangsa, president of Dimasa Khunang Hosom (Dimasa GB Union); Debojit Naben, president of Lairidim Mel; Thangnodao Naiding, joint sectary of Dimasa Public organisation; Moromi Hojai, president of Dimasa Women Welfare Society; and Ditush Naben president, Dimasa Student Union. The programme was chaired by Bhabendra Longmailai, president of DHH, Lemsen Hojai invoked God’s blessing while general secretary DHH, P.Monuhar Thaosen delivered keynote address and vote of thanks was proposed by Anup Naben. Special number was presented by Joyphen Khersa.
