Dimapur, July 3 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel in a notification issued on Tuesday, has stated that land transaction, between individuals or village councils, of the left out portion of existing road along the proposed four-lane road along Chumukedima to Medziphema has come to his notice.
DC said the left-out lands are government property acquired for general public and this development is likely to disturb the construction of four-lane road along the said stretch since the left out portion shall be used for public utility service in future. Therefore, DC has informed the general public neither to sell nor purchase those lands as such transactions if brought to his notice shall be made null and void.
Patel further cautioned that failure to comply with the order will attract severe legal actions as per the Nagaland Eviction of persons in Unauthorized Occupation of Public Land (Amendment) Act 1978.
