DIMAPUR — The renovation and modernisation of Dimapur’s Town Hall is expected to be completed by the end of December 2024, according to an official of the Development Authority of Nagaland (DAN).
The project, undertaken under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2022-23 scheme, is currently 95% complete.
Work commenced in 2023 with a total project cost of INR 19.90 crore. To date, INR 15.73 crore has been received from the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme, and INR 2 crore from state funds, the official said.
While the physical renovation is nearing its end, the final decision on the town hall’s management is yet to be made.
The official said that the DAN board will have a seating and decide whether it will directly manage the facility or outsource the management to a third party.
