The Native Trax Society (NTS) in association with Get Gorgeous Society (GGS) and Note Grid is organising a benefit concert for the victims of natural disasters in Nagaland.
An update from the NTS issued on Sep. 5 mentioned that the concert will be held on Sep. 15 from 5:00 pm onwards.
The venue for the said event is said to be intimated soon.
'In spite of so many natural disasters all over the state there seem to be very little concerted effort/ response to mitigate the hardships being faced by the victims. Therefore, a sudden decision was taken to organise this concert out of concern for our brothers and sisters in need as we believe that charity begins at home. The proceeds from this event would be handed over to the District Administration for donation to the CM’s Relief Fund,' the update mentioned.
Many well-known singers and bands from Dimapur are said to have come together in support and solidarity to lend their talents towards the charity event.
The list of performers for the concert as mentioned in the update includes UDX, Renbeni Odyuo, Thunglamo Ngullie, Kimatsung Jamir, Imli Lee, Trance Effect, Sunep Lemtur, Frozen Heart, Imnasenla Aier, Diethozo Thakro, Yellow Beacon, Ukelele Dimapur, Note Grid Rock Guitar & String Sections and Echoes Hill Band.
As part of the run-up towards the event, some of the artists are said to be performing live on the streets of Dimapur to create awareness for the main event.
'The first such performance will be on Sep. 7 from 5:00 pm onwards in front of Big Bazaar Mall. Therefore, all music lovers and concerned citizens are invited to come and witness these performances and also freely donate for this noble cause,' the release from the organisers further added.
