DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) has appealed to all the citizens of Dimapur for a free and a fair urban local body (ULB) election. The council, in a press release, said it expects the people to overcome all sorts of narrow divisions like tribalism, clanism and groupism and elect rightful persons for the progress and uplift of the society.
It also earnestly urged every intending candidate to contest through rightful means and not to use any form of foul practices or violence thereby creating any unwanted situations.
“Every citizen should ensure that their respective areas have peaceful polling, setting an example,” the DSC added.
