It’s safe to say that the penultimate night dubbed as “Blues Night” of the Hornbill International Music Festival 2018 has been the expression of ideas and sound as one of the most affecting Blues band in the country “Soulmate” from Shillong Meghalaya took to stage on Sunday night at the Agri Expo in Dimapur.
Soulmate’s vocalist Tipriti Kharbanger whose energetic voice yet soulful with expression had the crowd screaming. She raised her voice on issues of women as she belted out one of their originals on women issue “Don’t put your hand on me” and conveyed that she stands on behalf of women tonight.
The host of HIMF 2018 Clement Imsong introduced Kharbanger as a singer who is considered as one of the finest female vocalist in the country and the guitarist Rudy Wallang.
Kharbangar greeted the crowd as someone near and acknowledged that it was always fun to play in Dimapur, Kohima and for Nagaland.
“We love to play in Nagaland because we know there are many Blues music lover in Nagaland,” communicated to the excited crowd.
The Dimapur crowd on honest term fell in love with the expressive voice and the band.
The last day of HIMF 2018 on Monday dubbed as “EDM Night” will witness Ukranian DJ Siana Catherine.
