Dimapur, April 17 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has been assigned to deploy administrative officers for streamlining distribution of essential commodities and also to issue directives to the village council chairmen/ GBs to ensure the essential commodities distributed under DDMA reach the needy people.
This was decided during a meeting on April 17 held under the chairmanship of the PHED minister Jacob Zhimomi in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Dimapur, to review the preparedness on Covid-19 in Dimapur district, a DIPR report stated.
The DC Dimapur has also been asked to issue public advisory for maintaining calm and to stay at home as well as to make public wear masks mandatorily while leaving home to procure essential commodities.
The district administration has set up a helpline No. 9609618473 for the quarantined areas of Marwari Patti Murgi Patti and GS Road. The house also decided to make arrangements for home delivery of medicine and to make fresh healthy food accessible in the quarantined areas by deploying Red Cross volunteers.
The village council chairmen/ GBs were directed not to obstruct movement of administration, medical, police, press and people rendering essential services under any circumstances. It also decided to make arrangements for home delivery of sanitised LPG cylinders and officials transporting and distributing cylinders were asked to mandatorily wear masks.
The house decided that the CMO would prepare the menu to be served in the quarantine centres to ensure that people under quarantine get balanced diet.
Western Sumi Hoho, Naga Council Dimapur, and Food and Civil Supplies department have been asked to work in co-ordination with Dimapur district task force.
Advisor to Power Tovihoto, advisor to Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs Zhaleo Rio, MLA Azheto, Deputy Commissioner Anoop Kinchi, Commissioner of Police Rothihu Tetseo, CMO and MS Dimapur, and assistant director of Food and Civil Supplies also attended the meeting.
