DIMAPUR — Amid rising temperatures, residents of areas served by the Metha power sub-station in Dimapur were left without power for 12 straight hours.
The outage began around 2 am on Monday and power was restored at around 2 pm the same day. Increased power demand due to the heat has put additional strain on transformers, leading to power outages.
The Metha power sub-station, which supplies electricity to a significant portion of Dimapur, experienced a technical issue—a circuit breaker fault—resulting in the 12-hour power outage for several localities.
