festival of colours, was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Dimapur with
various organisations hosting events at multiple locations.
- The “Friends on Wheels Motorcycle Club” organised their
annual Balam Pichkari Holi Mela at Dimapur Club—a fundraising initiative
dedicated to a noble cause.
- Proceeds from the event would go toward supporting the
education of underprivileged students facing financial constraints to enable
them continue their studies after HSLC, HSSLC, or any other classes.
- With the tagline "Colours of Education–Educate the
underprivileged child," the club remains committed to its motto
"Stand for humanity." So far, they have successfully facilitated
admissions for 84 students.
- Holi, known for its vibrant celebrations, symbolises the
triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring. The festival provided a
perfect occasion to bring the community together for a meaningful purpose, with
an anticipated attendance of around 3,000 people including club members, local
guests and well-wishers.
- Another grand Holi celebration was hosted at DDSC Stadium by
the Unity Circle Club, in collaboration with the Human Rights Help Association,
Nagaland.
- The city came alive with vibrant colours, joy and a spirit
of togetherness as people of all ages danced to the rhythm of music, making
this year's Holi celebrations a grand success.
