
Dimapur, Dec. 19 (EMN): The Dimapur Rengma Students' Union (DRSU) has congratulated Khwenhile Keppen on her publication of a new book titled ‘Dyükedokezen’ meaning 'weaving' in Rengma Naga dialect.
An update from the union president Kvuchulo Khing stated that the book is about weaving done by the Rengmas which contains both in English and Rengma translation. The book was released at Phenshünyu village by Rev. Issac, on December 19.
It stated that they started a Jonyuphi T-shirt project to fund for her book. It added that Khwenhile Keppen, born in 1997, aims at awakening the mind of the youths to come forward in preserving own culture and tradition.
It further stated that the book also covers a brief history of Phenshünyu village during the headhunting days to mark the 100th year of Christianity of the village.
