
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police has trained 13 students of City Law College, Dimapur, on student police experiential learning programme (SPELP).
An update from Dimapur Police stated that during the one-month learning programme, students were attached to various office branches of Dimapur Police including East Police Station, Traffic Control, PI Court, Women Police Station, Cyber Cell including field visits to de-addiction centers, observation homes etc.
Report stated that students were awarded certificate on completion of the training by the DCP of Dimapur.
It mentioned that the student police experiential learning programme (SPELP) is an engagement learning programme requiring students to participate in an actual professional activity or work experience. The objective was to enhance the cognitive skills of students, give them knowledge about their local community and improve the interface between citizens and police.
