Dimapur Police rescued abducted victim Prabhu Prasad and arrested seven accused, including two juveniles, following a case registered at Dimapur West Police Station.

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police rescued an abducted person and arrested seven accused, including two juveniles, in connection with the case.
According to a press release issued by Dimapur Police, a written FIR was received from Rahul Jaiswal of Old Sewak Road stating that his father, Prabhu Prasad, was abducted by one Amith Hussain Barbhuiya on September 2.
Based on the FIR, a case was registered at Dimapur West Police Station.

During the investigation, West Police Station duty personnel along with SOT Dimapur apprehended Barbhuiya (32 years), son of Nirul Illam Barbhuiya of Modhurband, present address Kanakpur, Cachar district, from Apple Inn, Eros Lane, on September 3. Based on information extracted from the arrested accused, West PS personnel and SOT and IR duty personnel proceeded to the Lotovi village area where the victim, Prabhu Prasad, was rescued.
Six accused persons were also apprehended—Pukhaho, captain, NNC/FGN (36 years), son of late Zhekishe of Sukoi village, present address Lotovi, Niuland district; Don H Swu, secretary, NNC/FGN (23 years), son of late Honito Swu of Lotovi village, present address Lasho Colony, Niuland district; Akavi Chishi, president, NNC/FGN (38 years), son of late Hekhuvi of Asusa Colony, present address Phukavi, Lotovi, Niuland district; and two juveniles.
The juveniles were handed over to the Juvenile Police Officer and forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) for further necessary action.
