Dimapur Police recover 230 grams of suspected heroin from a Wagon-R involved in a hit-and-run case near Khatkati, Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Police recovered 18 soap cases of suspected heroin weighing approximately 230 grams from a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run case on October 30.
According to the police, the Wagon-R vehicle bearing registration number AS07P5457 hit a Bolero at Tragopan Police Point, Dimapur, and fled towards Khatkati, Assam.
A search operation was immediately launched, and the officer-in-charge of Khatkati Police Station was informed to look out for the vehicle in his jurisdiction.
At around 3:20 pm on the same day, the Wagon-R was found abandoned at Khatkati and was subsequently towed back to Tragopan Police Point for spot verification.

After the completion of the verification, the vehicle was unlocked and thoroughly searched in the presence of independent witnesses. During the search, the suspected contraband was found concealed inside a secret chamber of the vehicle.
A case has been registered at East Police Station under Case No. 196/25, and an investigation is ongoing.
