Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Dimapur police intercepted a truck laden with liquor at Seithekema area on July 25.
Additional Commissioner of Police and PRO stated that one person identified as Addam Dhan (19) and resident of Bokajan in Karbi Anglong has been arrested. Police recovered a total of 929 cases of IMFL from the truck.
A case has been registered with Chumoukedima police station for further investigation.
In a separate incident, Dimapur police apprehended one person namely Kheghoto Swu (44) from Clock Tower area on July 25 with cash amounting INR 790 and six demand slip of NSCN (K). He was alleged to be Rajapeyu of Khango group of NSCN (K). Case in this regard has been registered with West police station.
On the same day, Dimapur police apprehended two persons namely Kashito Zhimo (50) under Ghatashi police station in Zunheboto district and Mughaho Swu (29), allegedly a secretary of Yung Aung group of the NSCN (K).
Police recovered extortion notes from their possession. Case in this regard has been registered with West police station for further investigation.
