DIMAPUR — As two
minor bridges located at 160.011 km (near Dellai Gate) and at 160.217 km (near
police check gate, Rilan village) on NH-36 would be dismantled and
reconstructed, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, informed that the stretch
of NH-36 would be completely blocked for traffic movement till the completion
of the two bridges.
In this regard, Commissioner of Police informed that heavy
and medium vehicles coming to Dimapur from Assam should enter from four lane
bypass route junction near Dellai Sunday bazaar, Assam, and exit at New Field
Check Post and vice versa.
For light vehicles coming to Dimapur from Assam should enter
from four lane bypass route junction near Dellai Sunday bazaar, Assam, and exit
at Chotu Lengri/ Bor Lengri/ Lengrijan/ Duncan Basti/ Notun Basti and vice
versa.
It informed that the traffic diversion on NH-36 would come
into effect from December 23 and be enforced till the completion of
reconstruction of the two minor bridges.
Meanwhile, in view of the festive season and easing of
traffic, the CP has lifted the Odd-Even system within DMC jurisdiction for the
convenience of the public with immediate effect till further order.
