The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, declared a No Fly Zone in Chümoukedima district from 6 am to 6 pm on April 2 due to VVIP transit.

DIMAPUR — In view of the transit journey of a VVIP on April 2, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has temporarily declared the area within the Chümoukedima district as a "Red Zone" or "No Fly Zone" from 6 am to 6 pm to strengthen security measures.
An order issued by Aotula T Imchen, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, stated that the restriction is imposed in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 24 of the Drone Rules, 2021, and Section 163 of the BNSS, 2023.

The use of any kind of remotely piloted aircraft or drones is prohibited during this period.
Further, the conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces, civil police, central police, private firing ranges, or any civilian holder of licensed firearms, as well as the bursting of any kind of firecrackers, are restricted from 6 am to 6 pm.
The order added that as the notice cannot be served individually on all concerned, it was passed ex-parte due to security exigencies.
